HUD Homes Offered to Hurricane Katrina Evacuees



HUD announced Monday that it will give Gulf Coast hurricane evacuees an opportunity to purchase 20,000 HUD-owned properties at a discount.

Families living in interim rental housing may purchase the homes they are currently occupying at a 10% discount off the fair market value. In addition, HUD will help tenants pay for property repairs with a escrow credit equal to 15% of the purchase price.

HUD will pay all reasonable and customary closing costs, up to 5% of the contract price. HUD will also pick up the tab for all real estate brokerage fee's. The buyer must agree to occupy the property as a primary residence for at least 12 months.

Search Google for InfoTube.net Property Listings



... Expands further into the real estate search game by featuring InfoTube.net property listings. Google also added real estate specific pulldown menu's, featuring mapping and more search categories, making home shopping much faster and easier.

When searching for property listings on Google, Google Base or InfoTube.net, home shoppers can narrow searches by listing type, property type, location, number of bedrooms and baths, in addition to price. Search results are provided with a "birds eye view" map of the property location and surrounding areas.

Homes listings on www.InfoTube.net are uploaded to Google Base, daily. The service is provided at no cost to home sellers. InfoTube.net selected Google, in part, because it believes user privacy is a top priority. Google does not require users to register or disclose personal information in order to search for property listings.
